The BIR – Badatz Igud Rabbonim is one of the largest Kosher organisations in
the World. Our Headoffice is based in the UK and we are very proud to have a
local office in Indonesia which is based in Semarang.
We have been working closely with Indonesian companies for the last 25 years
to give them Kosher certification and to great success. Due to our success in
helping Indonesian companies get their products Kosher certified and in order
to give a fast and efficient service we decided in 2010 to setup ‘Kosher
Indonesia’ and open an office in Semarang, Java. In fact we are the only Kosher
agency that has an office in Indonesia for Kosher sertifikasi.
Our Jewish Heritage in Indonesia goes back hundreds of years and Jewish
people have fond memories of their time living in Indonesia besides of course
for the time it was under Japanese occupation. Today however there is no
Jewish Community as a lot of Jewish people emigrated in the 1960’s and
earlier. There are only about 20 Jewish people left and they are spread out all
over Indonesia.
We love the Indonesian culture. Our experience of working with Indonesian
people has always been amazing and we admire them very much as hard
working and sincere happy people.
Our Kosher certificates are recognised and accepted worldwide throughout the
Kosher industry. The President of our organisation is Rabbi Landau who is
worldwide renowned as an expert in Kosher.
Our Kosher clients in Indonesia are primarily in the following sectors: Food &
Beverage, Pharmaceutical & Cosmetic sectors as well food packaging.
The products we Kosher certify will be for the Industrial market as well as the
Retail market. Many of our clients in Indonesia produce so many different
types of products ranging from Spices, Coconut derivatives, Sugar, Alcohol,
Chemicals, Flour, Paper products, Bleaching Earth, Carrageenan, & Oreo
cookies amongst many other product types.
We give Kosher sertifikasi to many clients that are based in many of the
Indonesian Islands including JAVA, SUMATRA, SULAWESI, KALIMANTAN,
BINTAN ISLAND, and HALMEHERA.
We are always happy to help and advise any Indonesian company looking to
get Kosher certification for their products.
